This course has been designed for beginners to learn about Pilates in comfortable setting, as well as provide existing Pilates students with a opportunity to revise the foundations and achieve better technique during class. This 5-week course covers the basics of Mat Pilates and you will learn and practice:
APR 21 | WEEK 1 | Breathing, Pelvic floor and Transverse Abdominus activation (core)
APR 28 | WEEK 2 | Common postural problems & how Pilates can help
MAY 05 | WEEK 3 | The original exercises developed by creator Joseph Pilates
MAY 12 | WEEK 4 | Types of small equipment used in Pilates
MAY 19 | WEEK 5 | Muscle release using trigger point balls and foam rollers
What's included in the $150 course fee:
Mindfulness, as a practice, is perhaps best described as being simple but never easy. The more we bring the light of awareness into our lives, the more questions and challenges we tend to see.
Mindfulness Level 2 seeks to address those issues in order to lift you into an elevated state of calm and clarity, regardless of the situation.
Over 5-weeks the course will cover:
theoretical components | diving deeper into the neuroscience along with the mechanisms and complexities of the human condition such as in the experience of pain or emotion
evolving practices | including seated meditation and a range of different techniques such as Metta or loving kindness meditation and open monitoring in order to fully attend to the experience within each moment
This course is only available to those who have completed the five week introductory course or those who have a wellestablished personal meditation practice.
